30K maintenance
Hi all I'm doing my 30k maintenance and I was wondering what size diameter hose I should use to drain my coolant. I see the drain but I don't have a proper hose to drain it with.
Also should I change the fuel filter at this point in time? And if I should change it should I go with a OEM fuel filter or is there an aftermarket one you guys/gals would recommend?
I'm also gonna change the spark plugs, I've searched and found ppl using the NGK plugs but are bosch platnium plugs just as good?
One final thing I've been using puralator oil filters, some ppl recommend OEM oil filters cuz it helps keep oil pressure up in the turbo(don't know if that true) but what are you guys/gals quick thoughts about this? I did a search already I just wanted to see if i could sneak in this question really quickly.
Thanks
JJ

30K service calls for replacing the fuel filter.
Spark plugs are platinum and do not need replacing 'til 60K. 'sup to you but I'd save the money and wait on the plugs. Unless you're burning oil (unlikely) it's doubtful your plugs need attention.
Sorry can't help with the rest. I took mine to the local oil change place and had them flush the coolant for about $50.

Wrxneffect, what car/motor is this for? Assuming it's a WRX, Subaru recommends that you-
You are also supposed to inspect basically the whole car, per this link at Subaru
For filters, I stick with the OEM parts. For plugs, I recommend NGK coppers, part number BKR7ES-11. Platinum plugs are more for longevity than performance. Coppers spark better.
