I am looking at a 2002 WRX at a local car lot in Lincoln Nebraska. The car has 33000 miles on it as well as the subwoofer and amp, turbo gauge, and spoiler and 18in ICW rims. The car is also a manual with a STI short shifter. I have looked around the internet at both NADA and Kelly Blue Book to see what the value is on this car. I was just wondering how you guys think $20,000 is for this car.



UPDATE!!!!

Today i went into the dealership and basically picked the car completling apart infront of them letting them know everything that was wrong with it. Heres what i found (paint is swirled, a few hail dents, a couple door dings and a could medium scratches on the exterior. On the interior there are a couple cigerette burns, both front door closing handles are cracked and oil was spilt in the trunk) I also said that i was a little worried about the realiablity of the drivetrain.

So long story short the changed the price from $375 to $350 a month and lowerd the intrest rate from 8.75% to 6.75%. Plus they threw in a extended warrenty for 4 years and up to 75k miles. And gave me an extra $250 for my trade in.

I ran a car fax and it was clean but it came up with three owners and that worries me alittle

In my Opinion, NO. Buy a new 03 WRX. $22,900, and you get a warranty. Don't do it! Sincerely, Collins

 

what collins said. you can get it for even lower than $22,900, there was a post somewhere how some people got it for 1-2k under INVOICE. they gotta sell these '03s for the '04s.

i'd say that that's a very decent price for that car you were asking about though. just somehow make sure he didn't beat on the tranny too much.

edit: maybe bring the cost down to at least 19

I was also wondering if anyone could tell me where they are selling a 03 WRX for 22,900 cause around here they still want MSRP which sucks.

My wife finally decided she wants to get a WRX yesterday after she test drove it. We havn't talked $$ yet, but I'm curious to know how many people are actually finding these cars(03 WRX) for 23k and below.
