spider spikes?
has anyone ever used these, im going up to the snow next week but don't have appropriate tires and these look like good alternatives to chains or new tires

used them on my civic (owned by my roommate though)... can't imagine your differentials appreciating that... plus they're freaking expensive aren't they? like, cost of another set of tires expensive

You'll need 2 sets or your center diff will be one very unhappy camper. The size difference between the front and rear will make a viscous coupled diff overheat like a madman and you'll be SOL. Get a cheap set of wheel and toss some blizzaks on them, much cheaper in the long run(compared to a set of spikes spiders and a new diff).
Hell I was perfectly content with Pzero Nero M+S the last two winters, very predictable handling and worked fine in the snow. When the chain monitor dudes would flag me down I'd point to the all wheel drive sticker on the back and wave buh-bye.
Neros were great even in this
