Boost Spikes

Anyone experienced boost spikes problem? How did you fix the problem? My boost spiked at 17 psi then fluctuate between 13 to 16 psi, while accelerating on 5th from 3000rpm. Any help would be great, thanks!

Current engine mods:
- HKS filter
- Samco induction and intercooler hoses
- APS uppipe and turbo-back
- Fujitsubo header
- Zerosports crank pulley
- STi mounts
- Greddy catch tank

From what I've read, boost spiking is more a result of the Stock ECU. The way I got rid of mine was a reflash. Vishnu also sold at one time (not sure if they do any more) a product called an EMI adapter. That worked really well at taming the wily boost spike. Good luck.

boost spike!!

hi!! well wat kind of boost controller are u using???if its an electronic boost control......try to adjust the gain level .......try going towards the Mild side i think its left.......this usually takes care of it......i have the greddy E-O1.......i had my gain on 40...which is slightly lower than the middle position and noticed it spike to 17 and the fall back down to 15.5......i turned the gain down to 12 and i get no spike wat so ever.....hopefully this works
