Safer drivers

Shortly after I got my new 05 wrx wagon last May - right around the 1000 mile mark - I noticed that other drivers on the road had oddly slowed down and started driving more safely. Those big SUVs that used to roar off the line when I was in my 89 Camry quit driving that way. Now they just lumber off. It could be the higher price of gasoline has caused them to take it easy, to conserve fuel. Or maybe there's a social change, and people are becoming more courteous and civic minded. I know it's wierd, but I think it has something to do with my wrx...

They fear the hoodscoop. When I'm on a back road and I run up on somebody with those big bugeyes and giant hoodscoop, they move.
