Question about WRX longevity
Hello everyone.
I'm a proud owner of an 04 WRX automatic. I have 85,000 miles on my car and it still runs flawlessly. This is the longest I've ever owned a car and I was wondering how much longer I can expect it to run great. Maybe you see my dilemma - I can still sell it right now for a decent amount of money to put down on a new car, but I don't really want to if my car will go strong until 150,000 miles. Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.

There are plenty of people here with modded and stock WRXs with well over a 100k on their car and they will tell you that the cars still run top notch. It really depends on how you drive and maintain the car.

85k on an 04?
youll be fine for a few more years. You could always start saving up for another engine if you love the car that much (thats my plan once out of college....save up for a built engine and new tranny)
by the way, nice to see another proud 4eat owner

ive already got 12000 on my car and ive only had it since May.
Just sold my 04 WRX with 87k miles. You would be surprised, it is not worth as much as you may think with those kind of miles. Yours is auto as well which may not demand as much resell value which is odd because autos usually demand higher money. My 04 was strong as hell when I sold it too. I just wanted to upgrade to a STi.
