Hmm
At subaru's chicago auto show display they listed leather, sunroof, and lots of interior stuff as new options for the car. I believe that the gauge cluster, however, is the SAME as the 03 models on all non-sti subarus. The STI has a center tach, the WRX does not (I don't remember seeing the tach in the center on the 04 WRX).
The STI is a whole different animal but we don't need to get into that

The 04 WRX has a center-mounted tach, and leather is not yet a factory option (dealers will install it, of course). http://impreza.subaru.com

Just read it in CAR magazine (british publication) the WRX, there, has been lowered in price. Base price is $19,995 (pounds) and the STi is $26,990 (pounds).
Further, even with a price drop, the Euro WRX gets the 17" cool wheels, larger foglamps, and semi auto climate control. Also, the new Euro WRX gets a power boost to 225bhp, revised damping via alternate valving, the brake pedal can snap off in a crash, and it states that the new nose will soften the blow if it strikes a pedestrian, not sure what that is.
Also, the new body lowers drag coefficent to around .33 which should make the new body quieter at speed and help improve fuel economy.
The Euro WRX also gets cleaner emissions as it's down on Co2 emissions all with MORE hp.
I think we in the US are getting shafted if the price doesn't drop.
We get less of the good parts like brakes and climate control and Subaru still hasn't announced pricing. Maybe they intend to lower the price?
The Euro WRX has better brakes than the US model too.
One more thing, the Euro STi is using the 2.0 engine but is pumping out
300bhp and 299lb ft. of torque which is the same (save for 1lb ft. of torque) as the 2.5 US spec STi. And, the Euro STi DOES have a stereo which is not in the US version. They also get the nicer seats.
0-62 in 4.6 sec. top speed is 155mph.

The one effect it may have is structural (sp?)....Some people claim that it will affect body flex (in a negative way) other's will claim that depending on the design of the sunroof it won't or in fact will make the roof stiffer (due to the way the frame is installed)
Personaly I can't say either way, but if you aren't planing on doing rally racing I wouldn't worry about it, I doubt it would have that great an affect either way. (JMHO of course)
