ordering 04 wrx

In addition to the exterior styling, my understanding is that the 04 WRX will have an available cold weather package with heated seats & mirrors and also an available sunroof. It is for those 2 reasons that I am waiting for the 04 instead of jumping on one of these incredible 03 deals. I hope that they do become options and i don't lose out on a nice 03!

I never liked high powered car w/sunroofs. Look at the 90 Mustang. With out a sunroof, the car is fine, with on you have more rattles that you can take. I hope your subaru doen't have the same problems years down the road.
And my comments about the heated seats...
I have them in a Jeep limited and NEVER use them. And let me tell you, that truck takes hours ; ) to warm up...

Hopefully I won't post this reply twice. I have a sunroof and heated seats in my A4 currently and the sunroof I could live without but it would be tough but those heated seats are ALWAYS on during the winter. I put them on 6 to get a quick heatup of my posterior and back then turn it down to 3 for 10-30 minute drives. Longer than that it goes to 2 or 1 but always on! I don't think I could live without 'em.
This is straight from subaru, see impreza.subaru.com , theyve got some stuff on the STi too...Also, though, ive heard that sunroofs can affect the structural rigidity of the car? Is a sunroof really going to affect the way my car handles? Is the weight of it going to be an issue eiter?

Just an FYI, the 0% financing is only if you take from dealer stock (2003MY) by the end of this week. It will not apply to an '04 model.
Also, I placed an order today for a 2.5RS '04 and it should be here by April, early May at worst.

they will do sold orders.
you drop like a few hundre bucks as refundable.
you buy youself a first right or refusal on a Vin .
as that car arrives you get to take it first. or refuse.
bigger dealers will always tell you no mark ups.
selling under msrp or at least at msrp..

The seats are different (same as STi but with different coverings) and the guage package is different this year (the tach is front and centre where it should be). Also, the stereo will now have a metallic-looking face instead of black like the 02-03's.

I don't think there's a choice in the EBD -- I believe, like ABS, it's just now part of the package.
The face of the stereo on the '02s and '03s is black. For '04 it'll be the same silvery-colour that's on the trim AROUND the stereo on the '02-03 (and 04) models.

I've been offered a 2004 WRX for $500 above invoice, offer was from the dealer when I was asking about the price of an 03 model. He said he would take the order for the 04 and it would be $500 over invoice and we'd know that when the prices are announced or when the car gets here.
So, deals have already started. The WRX is no longer new and there a lot of WRX's on dealer lots. Many potential WRX buyers are going for the STi.
I think they may lower the WRX MSRP as they did in Europe, or so I heard they did in Europe.
With the additional cost of a sunroof and cold weather package that could push the WRX into the $27-$28k range. That's a bit extreme for a compact sedan especially considering the EVO is only about $1000 more than that.

Just an FYI on the trim: The '04 RS goes from having Silver trim on the center console to Dark Gray. I'm looking at the leaflet from SOA as we speak.
