I think I said this in my profile or another post or somewhere but it's soo true, the best money I spent on my car has been the 175 on a track day at Willow Springs, we had instructors with us for part of the day and learned a lot, has improved my city driving even. Cause what good is a fast car if you don't know jack about driving it... I definitely recommend getting out there.

Yeah, I noticed, but surely there's gotta be something around there, some tracks or whatever... I was in Columbus for about 5 months while I was training at Fort Benning about four and a half years ago or so... all I know is it was ****ing humid and hot as hell.

First "real day" there, they call it the "Shark attack" it was something like 117 or 119 with the humidity factor or whatever it's called... I thought I was gonna die. I had just come from cold a$$ weather too cause I was living in Utah at the time.

Well, if you are in Gergia, you could go to Road Atlanta for racing lessons.
I have only done some autocrossing (very affordable-25 bucks for the day) and have found how to better handle my car at the limit.
But seriously, just wait for the right time to buy your car, when the WRX first came out my car was only a year old, would have lost thousands making the switch, just a year and a half to go now, and they keep getting better, and cheaper (going for invoice, 0% financing)....someday....soon......
Or I'll wait for that 400HP Leagacy........

Buying a car that's turboed from the factory is going to give one the ability to make the biggest hp and tq. gains with the least amount of money. It's not the turbo that's expensive, it's all the piping, engine management, fuel, ignition, and timing issues. A WRX is a great car, but it pales in comparison to both the EVO and STi. Of course, so does the price!

Well i've been a die hard mitsu fan (owner of a starion/conquest) and i must say i was rather impressed w/ the WRX (why i got one), but i kept my mitsu, because there is nothing like a turbo charged rwd car. The wrx is a beast, and appears a hella lot cheaper to do anything with (mpfi on the starion is costing me about 1000$ the 'cheap' way). My wrx is currently inoperable tho. I do not believe the WRX has the same structural integrety as my starion has tho. I got in a accident at 35 mph w/ some jackass in a geo who figures he doesn't have to have working brakes (use the ebrake instead!) so i saw no brake lights and am out like 10,000$ on the deal. But the wrx just crumpled like cheap cardboard, leaving a minor scratch on the bumper of the geo...
my mom plowed into my starion once (parked behind her minivan and she couldn't see it) and her minivan's ('02 toyota sienna) rear bumper fell off. The starion suffered damaged in the area of my license plate holder (damn NJ makes me have front plates)... 2 holes in bumper where the bolts go for the plate. And minor paint scratches.
Paint on wrx also fell off removing bug guts (w/ soap and a sponge! not covered under warranty since the sponge wasn't subaru approved i guess). So i have very little to say about the exterior quality. But the power, and stability of ride are all there (as opposed to stock starion).
but ya know nothing beats rwd w/ 650 cfm's at 30 psi slingshotting the thing into the low 12's

Sti
Can't wait to get my new Sti.
I'm moving from an EVO and I do still love the Lancers but I drove the EVO 8 and it was a bit of 'been their, done that, want something different'
The Sti is a bit slower and I may miss the electronic yaw control rear diff but on the test drives, I was more excited by driving the Sti than the E8, not what I expected.
Just need the prodrive pack now to get back to 300hp
