Also, thanks for more info on the bug scoop. And hey, I didn't know (if you choose the STi) you were going to lease the car. Why lease?

How could I forget the 'Rally Car' discussion, thats how we 'met'.
I'll be keeping the STi to the tarmacmostly with a bit of fun in light snow and ocassional off-road use to access various local paintball fields. Nothing hard core or abusive though.
As for leasing, all my vehicles are leased by my company for my personal and family use. I don't pay anything for them; monthly payment, insurance, maint., fuel, etc. and its all a corporate deduction.

Janq, you lucky f%$#ing bast@rd!! By the way, I just had a live demo of the Alpine NV1A DVD navigation system at my local car audio place. It's really good. I thought it would be kind of cheesy and more hassle than it's worth sort of thing (like palm pilots... no offence to those who have one...I still use good ol' pen and paper) but it's not. It works great and has tons of features. One of the goodies I've been budgeting for.

Gods good grace, guts, a good supportive best friend & wife, great personal & professional advisors, a good idea followed through, great employees & customers as well as a good amount of hard work mixed in with almost a decade of blood, sweat & tears has gotten me here.
I treat myself every so often to a few personal 'perks' and the STi/G35 will be one of them.

Old school....but not yet geezing.
I haven't looked into a radio option just yet but I'll check out the Apline site for that DVD NAv system. But Costco sells a two set map package of Washington & the surrounding areas for $39.95, and it fits under either the driver or passenger seat.
It'll be hard to find a better deal than that.

Ahhh, I see... nice, clean white collar job. I wish I had something like that. I'm Blue as Blue collars can get. It just happens to be a well paying Blue collar job. That's another reason I wouldn't consider anything with a more luxurious interior than an STi: I often crawl into my car dirty as hell but leather is easy to clean. Fabric will be another story. Oh well, a nice Blue Car for a Blue Collar guy.

The BMW lease information alone was of great value.
Just yesterday I was consulting to a good friend about his dad buying vs. leasing a 760iL. This sites info will help in a big way.
Thanks a ton AMDMAXX...good lookin' out!

I'm off RT.66 and have made it to DC in as little as 30 minutes flat from my turning my car key and leaving my driveway to parking and hitting the 'beep beep' button on my key fob. But most typically its a 35-45 minute drive.
I used to party at Nation back in the day when they first hit the scene (I'm 'old school') but have been back in years. I was at Insomnia a year ago or so.
BTW, I called my dealer today to get specifics as to allocation and they are getting only three in month one and then one per month there after. I'm number seven of seven confirmed buyers which means I won't be seeing an STi until five to six months from now which is just too long a wait, especially with G35 prices due to go up in 2-3 months.
I'm scheduled to head on out to my local Inifinit dealer and hook up with them for a test drive tomorrow afterwork with my 'co-driver' car buddy. We also plan to try out the Mazda RX-8 immediately afterward.
As much as I hate to say it, it ain't looking good for me and the STi. I was really loking forward to silver with gold wheels (or even white) but I'm not interested in waiting until as late as December to take delivery. Not to mention it'll come with Summer tires which means I'll automatically have to buy new rims and tires for it before I get it home. Its looking like I'll be pushin' a G in the next 30-60 days assuming this test drive works out as I expect (positive).
Sorry Subaru. You know I love ya dearly, but I can't wait 6 months.
Its a sad day in Muddville...
The Future?!?

awww mannn G35 is nice.. but u are really missing out if ur gona spend u cash on an infiniti G35 coupe because the STi will totally out perform the G35. but if u like luxury thats kool i would rather have a new WRX then a new G35, and i totally take an STi over any car.. even porche carrera GT or 911 GT2. STi has AWD oh god i love that so much.
