Yea, i can see how we look like dicks, but we've seen this happen before, young person gets a car thats above their level, the car gets wrecked, people salvage the parts.

Its better that we tell him how it might be rather than him having to find out for himself.

I'd rather have you telling us we're dicks than him asking why nobody told him what could happen, or rather, what has a big chance of happening. If someone had told me all the mistakes that i could be making before i made some choices, i would have made a bunch of better choices in my life.

A friend of mine is an accident investigator for the Santa Rosa Police Department and I've seen plenty of pictures and heard enough stories to make you want to walk the rest of your life. Maybe you've been trained how to drive some. But what you know in 5 years will make you realize how naive you were at 16. I was one of the few who've managed to roll a 2.5 RS and I was lucky as hell to walk away with a scratch on my head. Three weeks ago the officer friend responded to a motorcycle accident where the guy struck a pole at 96 mph, the bike was 450 feet away and he was in pieces. He had been fighting with his brother and decided to ride angry. You've got plenty of time to get faster cars and learn how to drive. If anything go to the track and drag race or auto cross. Just have fun and be smart.

seraph-

i completely agree with. 110%, i wish people had told me what you're telling this kid. i just feel that it doesn't have to be done in such a negative way as to make this kid feel stupid for even wanting to buy the car. that's all.
