well yea.. power locks, windows, and mirrors have pretty much become standard equipment on all cars. Heated seats however are not. Thats why I thought it was funny that they leave out the stereo to save weight but then add heated seats... it still doesn't make any sense to me. But hey Canadian bacon doesn't make much sense to me either, I just call it ham. Must be a Canadian thing. <shrug>

I have a 02 WRX (in VA) and these were not options previously available. Subaru is clearly differentiating the "Sporting" side of the STi, from the standard WRX (which seems to be moving in the direction of, dare-I-say, luxury sedan).
Apart from this nuance in the US market, I am not informed as to any differences being offered for the Canadian market. But does it really matter? At least Canada is getting the 300hp STi which is more than Europe can say at this point.
Cheers

Canadian WRX STi website
go and checkout www.wrx-sti.ca
as the website said, there're standard stereo (including 6-disc cd changer), heated driver's seat, and pass through rear seat in Canadian models. I can't find anything about HID, which is a sad thing....
well, I guess the horsepower and the torque at 4,000 rpm can let us forget about the HID!!!!!!!!
