There will be some minor differneces between the Canada version and the US version WRX Sti, anyone have information on this? thanks in advance

One thing I can think of is the Speedometer. US Sti have mph and Canada have km.

I heard that they are getting heated seats instead of HIDs.

 

thats doesn't make any sense... It wouldn't have a stereo but it would have heated seats.????

my dealer told me instad of the HID in canada we get heated seats. thru hold trunk rear seats and indash 6 disc cd changer

 

Makes sense if you live in a town where people complain of the heat when it approaches zero degrees.

In the brochure I received, the 04 base WRX is now available with heated seats (and side mirrors). However, this is not listed as an option with the STi.

There is also a WRX sunroof option for 04 (again not STi)

 

Heres the deal: US gets 2 heated seats HIDs and no trunk pass through rear seat. CANADA gets pass through rear seat, drivers heated seat only, stereo system standard, no HIDs.

 

well yea.. power locks, windows, and mirrors have pretty much become standard equipment on all cars. Heated seats however are not. Thats why I thought it was funny that they leave out the stereo to save weight but then add heated seats... it still doesn't make any sense to me. But hey Canadian bacon doesn't make much sense to me either, I just call it ham. Must be a Canadian thing. <shrug>

 

I would then guess that you recieved the brochure for the US market and not the one for the Canadian market.
