Differences between Sedan and Wagon

What are the actual differences between the sedan and wagon suspensions? What are the differences that give the sedan a wider track? I want to know so I know what parts are universal, and what are not. I know that the control arms between the two are different, but I'm understanding that the differences are related to how the sway bar attaches. Is it possible to swap to a sedan sway bar and sedan aluminum control arms on the wagon?
Thanks for any help.

rear sway bar
The sway bars are interchangeable between the Impreza and Forester models, at least for 2000 -2003. I bought a 20 mm rear sway bar from a WRX sedan and installed it on my WRX wagon, and it made a very big improvement. Subsequently replaced the 13 mm sway bar on my wife's Forester with the 17 mm one from my wagon, thereby improving her car's handling substantially without undue harshness.
