i was lookin into the focal 165v2 component set for my STi. I was wondering if anybody has experience with those?? Do i need a spacer kit??

I saw on iaperformance that there was an application for that type of component set. Is the spacer kit REQUIRED for fitment??

Netzero, i overheard u saying that no spacer kit was required on your component set, and on iaperformance, there was a application for your slims.. im kinda confused wether or not to order the spacer kit

The focal 165v2 mids are 2.8 deep, you will need at least a 3/4 inch spacer for this to fit. It fits in my MY99 Outback sport, i don't know if it's the same with the 04 STI though. If i where you take off your door panel and check the depthness to be sure what speakers you can put in.

Ok, great perspectives. I listen to more rock oreinted stuff, some hip hop (old school), break beats, jam bands, live shows, Primus ,
i am thinking about MB QUART Premium PCE 213 5.25" 2-Way Component Speakers now, maybe the 6.5's....depends on depth and spacing

I have MB quarts,6 1/2, they are the best. They sound so sweet and clear, real nice fit, and an amp is not really needed. but i have a infinity digital BETA amp, which works very well
