Cool aftermarket security system installed, how to I disable factory alarm? (2004 STi)

Hey everyone, I got a stupid question (tried on nasioc but we all know how they are... think they are better than everone else) but anyway, I have an aftermarket alarm put in and they did not disable the factory alarm so the annoying red light on the dash is going nuts because it is on valet mode but if i turn the alarm back on when i lock the car i cant get back in without setting off the factory alarm.... anyone know what fuse i pull or whatelse i can do to disable it? i did not see the alarm anywhere in the fuse box either under the hood/dash or in the users guide...

Thx

The security module on your car should be behind the glovebox. Find it and unplug it.
Your installer may not be very good if they didn't do this as part of the job, it's poor practice to leave a factory system active when installing an aftermarket one.

Remove the factory module. If you leave it in place, you will run into problems.
