OEM strut install issues

Car Info: 2016 CWP STI
I just swapped out my coilover suspension for my 06 STI with oem struts with lowering springs to set my car up for daily driving. The rears weren't too bad, but when I lowered the car back down to the ground, the car sits like a monster truck. Way too high. They look like they arent compressed at all. The front oem struts also too long to install. I can't get the bolts to line up at all. Has anyone dealt with this before? What do you think is wrong. I will post pictures tomorrow when I get a chance.
