Okay, before we go any further, CDMA phones don't have a locking mechanism and therefore don't need to be unlocked.
What you do need to do, though, is get your number programmed into it before you can use it. Either through going into the store, or through customer service (though you'd need to find the EIN and know how to program the number into it).
Luckily, Verizon is more likely to activate non-Verizon phones than other companies like Sprint (also CDMA).
