I have an alarm program (Gentimer) for my Smartphone that repeats forever until I type in a randomly generated code that's displayed on the screen. Works great!

Try investing in working. It might cure boredom.

I'm probably going to get one of those tonight. the problem with the clock we have is that's it's old, has only one buzzer (EFFING LOUD) or radio. Some mornings, the radio is at almost inaudible levels, other mornings, it's full volume. oh, and it gets no stations, so no matter what the volume, you get static, so you get jolted awake by radio snow at full blast. My main issue is that because the wife goes to bed about an hour before the alarm goes off, she gets pissed when I hit snooze too many times, so I've been snoozing once, then turning off the alarm. Inevitably, I then fall back to sleep . If I get something with a bit better alarm and volume consistency, I can snooze more and get out of bed on time.

I use the alarm on my cell phone and put it across the room so I have to get up.

Doesn't always work.
