my ex was half filipino, and that was even too much.
i understand the relations with the family and all, though
the best way is to make the appearences and all and practice the daoist actions,
to give and not to expect to receive immediately,
non action, wu action, is acting in accord to the best solution to the situation,
defusement and nonaggression are usually the best for long term relations,
if anything just to keep things at a "polite" level
just remember that there are huge chances that you will never be able to please them 100% if we're going to use stereotypes
so accept that as reality and settle for less.
