No, I understand it. I have other hdd's I can copy the stuff over to and leave the hdd be.

 

How about not giving your PC away? That's what I would do.

My friend is moving away for college and he doesn't have a computer or the funding to really get a new comp since he spent his money saved on school. I don't mind giving it to him since the laptop will continue to serve my needs the same way the desktop does. I'm just going to use external hdd cases for the time being.

 

What exactly the subnet is. If your IP is 128.128.128.1 and your subnet mask is 255.255.255.0, how do you find the subnet? Is it just the 128.128.128?
