Not sure how many Reno folks are on here but I just picked up a beautiful 2006 STi and was curious if anyone around town has the necessary equipment to apply the XPT Stage 1 flashes.
I was considering buying it but as I don't currently even use a laptop I don't have one therefore buying the cable would be kind of a waste if I could just borrow someone's time and buy them a couple beers for their time.
Anyhow.....drop me a PM if you might be interested.

I do find it a little ironic that you don't like Opensource tunes but a ProTune is really just a specific open source tune done by someone with skill and knowledge.

cobb tuners dont like opensource cause it steals their business....you saving 300 on a tune plus whatever profit they make on ap's is money that could have gone to them. why would they like it?

Actually, the tuning software is much different between the to types.
Plus, I'm a professional tuner, you're not.
Plus, I'm a licensed business owner, you're not.
Plus, I'm registered with the BAR, you're not.
Plus, I have business insurance, you don't.
BTW Vladi, opensource gives me business in two ways:
1. I get to fix ****ed up tunes that hobby tuners provide.
and
2. I make a ****load more $$ replacing engines that are damaged by hobby tuners.

It's always the "expert" hobby tuner that knows everything and can't be found when **** blows up.

never said anything about me tuning profesionally, licenced, registered, or insured. in fact, i never said anything about me tuning AT ALL. im not a tuner. never claimed to be. read my original post:
not once did i mention ME stealing your business or dissing what you do AT ALL. anyways, i wont argue. we have been going back and forth about this for quite some time and the truth of the matter is: im not against what you do, im not here to discredit you, and most of all i am not against cobb. but lets be fair here, you discredit opensource every chance you get and advise people against it. we both know its a good tuning tool, just not for everyone especially people that dont know how to tune. yet when i say JUST ONE thing pro-opensource you instantly flame me and bring up the fact that im not a tuner. thats not nice. especially on here where you've got quite a following and all the little fanbois will absolutely HAVE to chirp in and add fuel to the fire............lets just not argue. i raise the white flag heh heh
have a nice day

Vladi, you did offer to tune his car:
You offering services without being a paying vendor.
If stating facts is what you consider "flaming", you need thicker skin.
The two tuning types differ like night and day.
btw drop me a pm if you are ever in the sacramento area regarding that flash

I'll be tuning a bunch of cars in Reno on the weekend of the 24th. While I don't recommend using the XPT base maps, hit me up and we can figure out a good route for you to go.
Thanks
Thanks
