We DO have free health care for poor people, it's called Medi-Cal (Medicaid).

And THANK GOD Californians voted No against prop 85!! I can't believe 46% of californias think that prop was a good idea
I can't believe people thought it was a bad idea...for any other surgery on a minor written permission is required from a parent.

I'm sorry, but that logic lacks a lot of thinking. The majority of teens will tell there parents about something this big because they cant handle it on their own. The ones that dont tell there parents arent doing it just to rebel, but for fear of being put in physical danger. Do you really think that prop would have changed anything besides increase the amount of illegal, unsafe, back-alley abortions?

I can't beleive 83 (sex offender) passed.

Some 18 year old kid who has sex with her 17 year old boyfriend now has to wear a GPS device for the rest of her life.

I agree, that ones "focus" was too wide...and I put focus in quotations because it doesnt really focus on anything...like say, the serious sex offenders such has 40 year olds raping 10 year olds, not 18 year olds who have sex with their girlfriend of two years ad then a week after they turn 18 the girlfriends parents call the cops on him because they dont like him

Yeah, statutory rape and molestation definitely should be differentiated very clearly.

yes. I'm also a little miffed about the dateline stings with the chick who is older than 18 that pretends to be younger. So the dudes get busted for intend to have sex with a minor that doesn't even exist.

I'm not in favor of what the intent is but the way they are busting them doesn't sit well with me. Kinda like the cops arresting drunks inside bars for public intoxication.

oh, and as for the abortion one, it really was a feeble attempt to begin criminalizing all abortions, and this is a time when the right to vote shouldnt be so....I dont think 50 year olds should be allowed to vote on things that effect 16 year olds....or well, girls 17 and under
