Insurance help...

Hey guys so as most as you know I just moved here from Washington and found out my tags are expired but in order to renew them is go back to Washington and have to take emission so just thought I mine as well register here. In order to do that I would have to switch my insurance over and my girlfriends stepdad is our insurance guy and gives us a good deal at $224 a month. Only thing about that price is it doesn't have my 2 tickets on there, Had a traffic violation and a speeding ticket within the past year so I know that will make my insurance go up. Just looking for some advice that you might guys have on who you go through for insurance and advice for getting my car insured, smogged, and legal to drive again.

i think in most cases you have to be with a company in CA if the car is registered in CA.

Ive got Mercury. They have been good.

Full coverage on my 02 wrx and full coverage on my wifes 02 Pathfinder. Neither of us have any tickets tho.. Only paying $172 a month for both

Sweet I will check those two for sure. Also whats the cost of smog testing, and all things I need to take into consideration of getting it registered here?

registering in CA sucks... they charge for everything compared to WA where they just charge for a yearly fee of 50 bucks max.. ha ha... and if you come down to my house theres a smog place that charges 40 out the door with the certificate... which is pretty cheap...

Yeah just want to get an estimate on how much everything is so I can get it dialed in. I am going to register my car under my dads address though because he said you only have to do smog right when you register and then once you sell the car so less worry there. But like I said just trying to get an estimate on the cost of everything really...
