He chooses punishment later over correct behavior at present. I know this because I've seen him look around for me before doing things he's not supposed to, like digging holes or jumping on the couch. Friggin' annoying. Of course, he's also a golden/boxer mix, so he's got the easily confused bit going for him too. The GSD/husky mix on the other hand... smart as hell, but even more stubborn. He's a pain in the *** because he does things thinking he's going to get away with it. He's only 8 months old though (Jake, the golden, is about 14 months) so maybe they will get a little wiser as they get older.

oh for sure...they are still "puppies" haha. ive gotta 2 yr old Australian shepherd and its the smartest dog ive had yet
