There is a certain point where you can get a restraining order. Go find an attorney (are you in Reno or Sac) who can help you with this. Cops will not listen to some random person complaining to them you need someone who deals with cops and the courts all the time to go in there and be a heavy hitter for you. Depending on how may police reports you have filed at this point you could have enough for an harassment charge.

It is not harassment until you take him to court for it. Until then it is just another police report, you need to step it up a level and get a lawyer involved. If this guy is really screwing with you and you fear for your life then deal with the cost and get an attorney, who will more then likely hirer a PI to get some dirt on the guy LEGEALY!!

 

If you receive unwanted phone calls from anyone you can ask the phone company to log the calls. The phone company will not give you access to the logs but at your request they will make them available to law enforcement for legal proceedings. If the unwanted or threatening calls can be linked to the perp, this can also be a violation of a restraining order. Speak with the attorney or D.A. that writes up the restraining order.

Having a restraining order is no guarantee of safety. You still have to be wary and report each and every violation of the restraining order by the perpetrator, even if the person says they just "want to talk".
