I ran a 1:59 tonight in my built Sti. I was happy with that. The course is fun once you get to know it.

I still like the idea of us all using the exact same car and same settings. The oil change comment above reminds me that even if we use the same car and same settings, different mileage will make the cars slightly less identical.
This does send us more towards a license test or arcade mode. Actually license test should rule out traffic too.
We just all need to get caught up in the licenses. (although I am a fan of taking shortcuts if the game allows it)

I caved and bought it last night you son's of biatches... I was only supposed to be getting a b-day present for my daughter. I assume it's only a matter of time before I get the wheel...
