Exactly. So quit your *****ing, and just run the race once in arcade mode so we can school you.

No wonder they cancelled the online play, they couldn't even figure out how to get two cars to sync on a LAN.
Haha, that sucks.

Hey if anyone can finish mission hall #23, post some pointers.

I got an idea.... I'll put up a list of races w/ cars, and we'll run a little off-line rally. We'll have to agree on which cars are allowed, and we'll probably have to say no mods...

In the meantime... the license tests are great for this sort of bragging challenges, since it's a fixed car, fixed track, and no shortcuts throught the grass:

I'll start: Super License Test 13, Audi R8 at Sears Point, 1:15.788 (IIRC... I've got the replay saved at home).

Swear. Isn't that the Skyline slipstream battle?
I'm trying taking the tightest line, and I can get to within like 3 seconds of the lead car (just outside drafting range) but no closer.

I tried swapping positions witht he pack of cars, trying to slipstream, get out a bit, then let one of them catch up, slingshot again, etc, but no dice.
I haven't passed the minivan one, either. Tough stuff. The 3-lap battles suck all ***, too.

Hey Nick, found something you'll like. go beat the Rally George V, the medium difficulty one. You'll be glad you did.

I've done 3 of 4 of the slipstreams... I'm stuck on the Skyline one too.

You can hammer the hell out of the pack bump-drafting, but get no closer than about 7 seconds to the lead car.

If you kick back and get a good run on the pack then slingshot out in front, then run a line right next to the inside of the course (make the track as short as possible) you can get within 3 seconds of the lead car.

I tried waiting till the end to slingshot around the pack, but by then it's too late.

One thing I haven't tried is boosting the pack up to their top speed, *then* dropping back and doing the slingshot manuver as soon as the pack's up to top speed. Then following the tight line. But I don't think that will be close enough to catch the leader's draft and pass by the end.

There's gotta be somthing we're missing.

And the minivan one is just a matter of realling matching the draft. I've found that in the corners you need to be just slightly higher up the banking than the line the lead car is running to catch the draft from way back.

And the 3-lap battles rule! They're really challenging! I did the Seca one, and it took me like 15 tries before I got it.

*Edit* more info on the skyline slipstream battle: people on IGN are saying that it's a matter of getting the computer cars to leap frog in the draft. The problem is that it's near impossible with the whole pack... you need to trick them into splitting off into a smaller pack so they leap frog easier. I'm gonna try it when I get home from work.

I can get within .5 or so seconds on #23. Yes, the idea is to let them draft you, then you draft them, again and again so your overall average speed is higher than the 1st car . Except that the AI doesn't really cooperate.

I get to within .5s by bumping the lead car continuously, it gets us about 10 extra kpm, and then on the 3rd lap on the final corner before he brakes, I take the inside line. But I don't think that's the correct way to do it.

I'm missing #23 & #34 ... I suck on 34, can't even pass the 5th place car.

What's the gold time? If you are faster than the gold, I'm not even going to bother loading up my game :P

Gold on that test is 1:16.100. I bet Scott can't even do it again.

License test S13! Read man, READ!

License test is good because it makes sure you don't take cheap short cuts and stuff.
