Exhaust ticket goes on driving record?

Hey all,

Does anyone know if an exhaust ticket (VC 27150a) stays on your driving record after you pay it?

Thanks!

Nope, it's not a moving violation. It's like a parking ticket.

I believe that it will stay on your record, meaning that LE could see that you'd been cited before, but it doesn't count as a moving violation?

Paging RC51..am I way off here?

The opposite. When by "your record" you mean your DMV record. Only moving violations go on that (and FTAs and the like).

Thanks guys! Getting an exhaust ticket clear is a pain in the a$$! It is probably less costly to pay the $124 instead of using vacation time to take off of work to get this stuff cleared!!!

Do you get them signed off by a cop, or just pay the fine?

get them signed off. one time I spent 40 minutes installing my stock catback, and when i got to the police station the cop didnt even check my car he just signed the ticket. But you still have to pay a $10 fee to the courts. (Mail the $10 along with the signed ticket into the courts)
