Car navi system and alarm will be done tomorrow! The navi got put in but we are waiting until tomorrow to do the alarm. I have some pics of the install process but I'll put them up once I get the car back tomorrow.
I'm stoked to try out the Navi system as soon as I can. For the few minutes I played with it I got my cell phone connected and my contacts copied over and made one call. My ipod and phone both work with the unit as well. I has have the DVD hack but I'll leave that for the photos. I find it really funny and kind of cool, haha. Photos tomorrow night, stay tuned!

So I don't have the full photos yet. I couldn't get time to pick the car up today so I'm posting some of the work in progress for you guys.
The red button is sick. It's the kill switch to have the DVD work or not work while moving. Instead of doing it to the parking brake he did it this way so I can turn it on or off if I'm getting pulled over... I really dont' see why else but I like it either way.

So I picked up my car yesterday. Everything works great! I love the navi in the dash. I plastic diped the dash pieces to give them the darker look. I think it sits well against the rest of the dash. The navi fits perfect and has the DVD by pass done. Rich (installer) put in a remote switch in the glove box so I can turn the DVD by pass on and off at will. That is sick, if I ever pulled over I can just turn it off if for some reason he ask to make sure I'm legal. Next comes the red hazard button and the STi pedals I just got in the mail yesterday as well

+100 for the guys over at ENRICHED MOBILE ELECTRONICS. I wish I could give the guys more plugs on the forums. If anyone is in the sonoma county area (santa rosa, petaluma, rohnert park/cotati, windsor, healdsberg; even novato) I highly recommend these guys. He does some crazy work, 40K customer fabrications for high rollers and simple navi's for guys like me.

update

update: 10/13/09

So it's been a while since I have had posted an update on the car. There is good and bad news but right now mostly good! 95% good actually.

The car has been driving pretty smoothly for the most part. The clutch feels soft but it's just something I have to get use too. I was hating the way it was steering but I have found that my stock wheels and tires weren't holding air and have been trying to fill them up twice a week. All the uneven air made the car ride weird.
Well I took some time to put the new wheels and tires on. I got a fair price for some 17x8 rota g-forces in gold. You'll also notice the window tint. I got a really amazing deal on that. I did 15% on the sides with 10% or 5% on the back. I wasn't sure if I was going to dig it but it's damn nice now.

Not a chance. CF hoods are gross and over weight.

I think it's about time I updated this... 1yr old since it's been touched (almost).

The car has already move on. I sold it a few weeks back. I wasn't feeling it and after adding up a parts list I figured it was going to be more of a money pit than anything else. I'm now in search of an STi and plan on leaving it stock.

RIP suby #2: I hope the new owner takes care of you the way I had.
