Well this is my intro to my new car. All mods are tentative ideas and may not happen or may change. As time and money allows things will happen.

It was bought brand new off the lot late 01'. The first owner was the seller so I'm only the 2nd owner. The guy kept it stock and kept every little maintenance record he could. This is a big deal for me! I felt safe about this car. Then the guy said he'd take $500 off if I could buy it in the next few days. I have a lot of plans for it and I'm happy to have her. Sorry for the long story but please welcome my adopted love child!!!!

Current ideas for mods...
1: wheels and tires. I want some 18's again but they have a lot of road feed back and I think some 17x8's would do just as good.
2: Swift springs with some AGX struts to give her a new stance and some better control.
3: Sway bars front and rear of course
4: high flow catted up pipe with full turbo back exhaust. Maybe go with cobb again. Not sure they are a little pricey for me but I like the sound level, not high no low either.
5: AVIC F90BT (already have it)
6: upgrade alarm, getting this added by some friends at a professional shop.
7: 04/05 black interior (solid one piece seats are so much sexier)
8: upgraded projection head lights. This might go to lightwerkz but they are expensive
9: JDM side markers (clear) on the fender near the door
10: clear front corner markers - maybe some carbon STi inserts instead
11: short shifter (my buddy got this as a gift right away. He really came through with this, making up for some old birthdays/christmas's he has missed. I have to give him lots of props, he showed a lot of love!
12: possibly a newer clutch
13: possibly a stronger transmission/gear set
14: oh a ****ing cobb AP of course with a road tune... stupid me.
15: I forgot to mention some tint all the way around.
16: front lip

Please give me ideas, I want to make this an amazingly sexy car over time. Things will take time as I used a lot of money to get the car and don't have many funds right now.

Here are some photos. I will try to take many photos as I add to the car and show the difference vs. stock to the new parts.

Short Shifter: I'm not sure where the money came from or why it was there but the box was closed when Tim gave it to me so kartboy had to have put the cash in there. +1 for them.

Nice call on the shifter bushings too!

The front bushing/rear stay makes your shifter feel solid! I love it!

All those sound good but this might just be me but i would get some painted side skirts because the black ones that are on so many bugeyes make my eyes bleed. But you can probably find most of those parts used if you are patient but now you have a 2.0 like the rest of us! O and you going do any crazy themes like you did with you 06 with the pink?

Reminds me of my story! Guy was the original owner, bought the car for his wife, and kept every single maintenance record. He was religious about even his oil changes.

Nice car, can't wait to see what you do with it.

So if you don't mind me asking, how much you pay and how many miles on the wrx?

My my buddy Tim really came through. I'd say I owe him lunch for such a nice gift but it was him paying me back, haha.

Haha, Yea I agree with that 100%. My friend has a buddy who can do it really cheap and he does great work. **** that black is ugly! Why wouldn't have they painted them!
No crazy color theme. I'm surprised your remembered the whole red and white thing. I never felt it worked too well but this one is going to be silver, not trying to color match anything this time.

Not at all man. I didn't realize I didn't put it up. The guy wanted $9500 and sold it for $9K flat, filled the tank and wrote the pink slip for a $5K so that the DMV doesn't screw me too had.
This guys wife drove the car too. Maybe our sellers are related? haha.

You jerk! Haha. I really didn't know what the DMV would let slip. It has 75,xxx on it. Just over 75,500. I thought it was a good deal. They go for a little more. I tried to get him to $8500 but he wouldn't budge. Said he needed money for a outback.

Yeah for the peace of mind with the maintenance records, the relatively low miles for that year, and a cheap price... sounds like you got a great deal. Keep us posted on its progress!

I agree with painting the side skirts, it makes a HUGE difference and makes your car look much nicer.

I'd also stay away from 18" wheels unless you just want your car for bling reasons. Stick to 17" for performance reasons.
