ok so I found out what damn code was on the car. It seems that I have a little issue with the avcs wiring on the cam senser on the right bank. no worries it sould be fixed in the next day or 2 when I can find some time to check everything till then I am just kinda leavin it in the shop for me. To be honest I am kinda surprised that that is the only code being thrown. it could be alot more then one. normaly when you do so damn many mods to a car all at once the ecu is just kinda in a stuper. I am going to load some more pics of my car with my buddys LGT hopfully in a bit if I can find some time.

wow so I am having an issue with the heads agen. I dont know if I had already told you guys but when we originaly put the motor together we were given one of the wrong cam caps. we sent it back and then got "the right one". well not all the codes mach on the caps and heads. but somehow we jumped timeing one morning when starting the car. mind you there is only about 3min toatal of run time on this block. so we pulled off the timing belt and now the other side R-bank was tight as a mother. no idea why after the first problem we had with the wrong cap we were arlready **** about what was going on with the cams but every thing felt fine we tq'ed them down do 12flbs and everything. so I am going to call the shop that I did the heads through first thing on monday. they had them sent out to someone else that I dont know the name of so I am hoping they can fix the problem. the ****y part is that they have to go back to canada to get done (east coast ): ). well I gess this is a good excuce to get them ported. it just realy sucks to have to pull the motor agen. At least all the custom stuff is done and now it will just be an R&R.
I blame my buddy that has an evo and just had the same problem with his car damn you jess

ok so nobody knows why the heads are bad they were all factory specs and they were asembald and torqued properly. so I am sending the bad one back and they are sending me a new one. I am out of town this week though to take care of some family so there will probly not be to much going on with the car.

now the motor is back out. I am going to get the Cam caps relinebord and the cam reserfesed and then I am hoping everything will be ok. then drop the motor back in and hopfully get to break this ***** in. I am prity frustrated with this car right now. and I am finding evey excuce to not work on it. But I know every great car that I have had has always been a ***** of a car. So I know because this one is being a biger ***** than any other car is sould be the best one yet

looks like it is going to be white with blue sponcer decals and also a primitive 05 wrc aproved rollcage (some day
).
I did find out what hapend with the car
when my my buddy did the cam gears he used a impact gun and broke the dowl off the cam. this caused the cam gear to shift and the oil jurnals to no longer line up
this prevented the cams from geting oil and that is why the cams stoped and jumped time
. So inother words one head is now bad. I am sick of this thing not being on the road and I have already had this motor in and out 4 times so I am just going to slap on my wrx heads and see what I can push out of them. I will just use the stock ecu for now with an AP. then after I build the V7 heads (cams, valves. springs, retaners and a port job) probly about $3500 I dont want to just fix them stock or buy just one head. I am realy big on not spending money 2 times on the same part. so I will let you guys know what is giong on with it as things progress. I will also put up some photo's of the cam and gear.

holy crap man, its quite the build you've got going on here. Its really nice to read up on what your doing, and its a pleasure to know, that your not only a vendor but also you suffer from the same problems we do while working on subies.

Yeah I knew something was wrong with what my buddy was doing. At the time I knew he had more experence than me as far as doing a full engine swap so I was listening to him. It was kinda my fult for not stoping him. I have worked on alot of cars but I have never had AIR in a shop
now that I do I wish I dident. But it is about a $3000+ mistake.
heads just over 2k

avcs wiring 400+ about 20hrs of time to do it (trying to find dyagrams and them maping every thing out)
+ all the little crap for it sensonr clips and pins. so all that for heads that I cant use anymore
but I am trying to take it in the best way posable and even though I just lost all that money I am trying to think of it as a chance to do fully built heads I dont realy want to pull the motor now but I kinda feel like I know this one like the back of my hand LOL. So I dont think I will mind. I Think any build that anyone is doing has to be looked at the same way. iff something happens you just got to shake it off and realise that it is part of building a car. These thinks even happen to some of the best shops out there I have been told from 5 other shops that then have had the same problem in the past. As for your car what are the plans? I have herd some great things about the AVO turbo kits

Oh yeah I have a Cobb AP on the way (sould be here on friday) and I droped in the DW 850 cc injectors. I am just waiting on the oil line that I had to order because I had to modify my old one for the avcs hard lines
and nobody carries them is stock. but if every thing starts going my way I sould be drivin this ***** this weekend I am very exited to get her back on the road. after the break in and the tune I will have to let you all know how it dose agenst my friends car. we were going to bo close but now I think he might have the jump on me he is somewere around here for his car

kakumei o2 housing
bucher o2 housing back 3" exhaust
stock injectors and stock turbo
with a custom map from GST motorsports using ecu tek
so I thin he might have the upper hand now because my stock wrx heads are realy going to hold my motor back. I was however told by Ross of AVO that my turbo is probly a avo450 so that is alot beter than what I though it was (the 400). So I Think it will be a good run for us we have both put alot into our cars and I know both of us sould be happy with our upgrades. both of us are not realy into drag that much but we will drag them at first to get an idea of how much beter ther are. We were about dead even in the 1/4 mile he ran 12.8 all day with his tune and cat back. I never had the chance to go to the track but we did take the two cars out to an old air feild in IONE CA and we were dead even till about 110 and he would slowly pull away. this was with my car having
avo turbo inlet and turbo back
avo turbo runing 12.5psi on stock wrx injectors
avo piggyback
act clutch and flywheel
and a spec C non dccd six speed.
now I have a put alot more in and am looking foward to runing the 2 cars agen. I do have to say I am a die hard subaru fan but that damn 4g63 seems to be the 2jz of the 2000's. it seems you just open and close the hood and they get another 20 hp hahaha. and I am prity enveous of being able to change your head without pulling the hole motor. It wold not be so bad but doing it with the six speed makes life alot harder. it is not as easy because even when you jacke up the damn tranny is just moves like 3/4 of a damn inch because it is so damn big. ok so I am just ranting I am going back to bed.

yeah it is back on the road. today was the first day I realy got to drive it and I put 183 mi on it
funny thing is my buddys evo was done the same day so we went on a little cruz. then if all goes well I will have my 1k mi done and get it tuned next week. I think I am going to sell my AVCS set up (heads sennsors silinoids full standalone wiring and all with the jdm ecu) and just build some wrx heads or get some cosworth heads. but so far so good it is just about time to start up on bodywork agen.

ok so monday I am doing a protune at gst. I was going to have it done almost 3 weeks ago but the day befor I was going to be tuned I went to go adjust my actuator and I could not get more than 12.5 psi
. I disconected the vacume line from turbo to actuator and overboosted like a son of a ****. so I had to order a new actuator from Ralli tek. (avo only). So now on the 26 I will be getin a turn from mike. thank god I am realy sick of keepin my foot out of it. as of now I can only do one map because of the solid boost actuator having to be manuly adjusted.
oh well maby I will rig up something to give me 2 boost levels. maby a home made boost controler (bleader valve) with a cap or something so I can have 2 levels. one for a 91 oct map and one for a C16 map.
anyway I will try and get a vid up so you can all hear this beast and I will let you know what I put down on the heart break.

I am still trying to find a set of speed line 15s from a wrc car. They are not to easy to come by. but for now I am just going to drive it with the stokers on because it sould snow soon. it dose not look the best but I would rither not F up my ssr's in the winter.
