I am planing on staying with silver for now. on the instide I want to do a sti swap on the door cards and back seat and then run some sparco evo II's. I am going to run harneses but I wont do it untill I have a cage. I have had them in a 67 bug befor and I rolled that car. I was lucky and I was being dumb and now wearing my harness when I did roll it. the a-piler was actualy touching the middle of the back rest. thank got I was pushed over to the pasangerside. that was when I was about 18 and now I know better. So never have harnesses unless you have some sort of cage or else you could have some big problems. as for electronics I am only going to use things that are functional. then will get done as I need them.

It is Kakumei they have tooling for the bugeye wrc bumper but have not put it into production because there is not very much demand for it. If people are realy interested in that bumper I could try to work with them and get a groupe buy set up for it. It is up to forum members if you are interested let me know.

ok here are some shots of the car today the stock hood wont shut because I did the intercooler pipeing for my Kakumei hood so now it wont close all the way so I will just run my hoodpins on the oem hood. I played alittle with the grill and ran some more VAC lines so I still have to get the right size belt for the alt and do my intake and then I will be ready to start. I have to find an intake that will work with my avo turbo inlet hose(3") and also with the greddy fmic kit then after my breakin when I get dyno tuned I am going to move the MAF to the cold side of the intercoolerpiping.

for the bugeye's yes oem lights but for the 04-05 I have a set of JDM lights. I was thinking of gold but I think I am going to do all blue and black on my car so I am not sure about gold. I am thinking of doing amber tint on the headlights though not for looks but because of my vision it helps me with depth persepsion I am geting old hahaha. I also might do some amber foglights.

so we wraped up everything with the car today. and we did a video of the first try to start it. It went great untill the motor started squrting oil form the heads. yaaa for us not noticing a plug missing next to the tgv housing so the oil just kinda came out to say hi. the gasket between the heads and the tgv risers was holding in the oil for about 45 sec. but then it started flowing like the Mississippi. Anyway It is ok because I was only starting it to get the oil flowing and my plans were to send out my ecu for a break in flash. So as much as this sucks it is ok. And now I have an excuse to put in some fuel rales. the thing that dose suck is that I have to take off the intakemanifold to plug the ports (I think, I am going to call my builder tomorow) and isnstall the fuel rails but I have to leave in my sti pinks for the breakin map. then after breakin I have to install my DW's 850cc injectors. ahhh lots of pulling the intake manifold on and off. ok sorry for that rant here is the vid of our first and only atempt to start the car.

i have a stand alone

i tune it twice a year and its good to go

you dont really need to do that to

aww so no haness to make it easy to put AVCS heads in?

we have all the info to do the harness if someone wants one but for now I am focousing on geting this car going. I was going to go with a stand alone but I did not want to have to deal with the retuning all the time. I live at 2100 feet and drive to the bay all the time I also go up the hill to 8000 feet every other weekend so I realy wanted a learning ecu. This is why I am going with ECUtek and then a Utec with it for multable maps, flat foot shifting data loging and launch control. plus I have realy wanted to run 2 tanks in my car one that is only like 3 gal so I can run C16 without having to run the take completly out. do you want a harness for avcs? We could make them but you would also have to use the IAperformance body harness with it.

ok so the intake manifold is back off 2 of the oil plugs were not even there. I took them off my old heads and I did not see anyother ones missing so I am hoping that I am good. I am not going to put my intake manifold back on untill I put on sum fuel rails on. DONT EVER ROTATE YOUR MANIFOLD WITHOUT FUEL RAILS. it just realy gives you more room that is needed. anyways I will keep this updated.
