The good news is my car is running great and wants to make more power. So my next mod will be the smc methanol kit. hopefully I can get 290whp or even 300whp on methanol. But i'm not gonna do that for a few months still. I'm also gonna probably get the buddy club grounding kit and perrin pulley. AFter that i'm done with the car...hehe
Congrats..now go have some fun in the car

Saw you ride at GST the other day. Nice looking car. I saw it just before Mike loaded it on the dyno. Didn't stick around for the session. Glad to hear it worked out for you. FWIW my car was there as well, the POS black wagon that breaks down every other week... If you spend some time at GST you'll see it quite a bit.

yeah I saw your wagon up on the lift. Whats wrong with it? Oh and for my tranny well the 04+ wrxs have stronger trannys then the older models, but believe me i've been driving my car everywhere for a day now and yeah I know why those things snap now especially when ur in first and the car keeps pulling till redline and you gotta change to 2nd then to 3rd. It can be pretty harsh. But i'm pretty sure it should manage. I actually might get the meth injection sooner then I thought. I know someone who doesn't want to use meth on his car but already has the smc kit so if he doesn't sell it to the person who asked him first then I get to have it! Well either way the smc kit isn't very expensive at all and hey it's like running higher octane on ur car all the time. How cool is that. Plus it's a lot cheaper then buying 100 octane all the time.

wow thats expensive. I hope I don't blow my tranny when I swith to meth. What setup do you have because 300whp on the gst dyno is a lot of power.

I have a USDM 2.5L with a TD06 20G. Plus all the trimmings that go along with it. Before warned: The tanny will go out on you. Plan at least $2500 for tranny, $500 for clutch. Might as well do the flywheel while your at it.

Oh yea, your right it is a lot of power.

my friend alan has an sti with sz49 and mike tuned his car on 91oct running 298whp or 297whp one of those using a jdm tmic and that thing is super fast. It's great because all u guys with the 2.5l have all that torque especially with a tmic the response is so quick that it can get pretty violent. It's like the car is giving you whiplash or something. by 3500rpms he already has like 300+wtq so the car just pushes u to the seat. If I hitch a ride in a wagon like yours and didn't know you had all that power I would have a heart attack! haha But ehh I don't have a 2.5l so unfortunatly I don't get to enjoy all that torque but surprisingly my car feels similar to a modified sti in the first 3 gears on the street. And i've been in some pretty modified sti's. So thats why I can't wait to do meth on my 2.0 because i'm so curious what a 2.0 would feel like running 290whp or 300whp. To be truthful i'm already really surprised how my car pulls like a modified sti. I never thought it would be similar because the low torque #'s the 2.0 makes. But thats also why I think my wrx tranny will hold up (i hope) because I don't have crazy torque #'s that the 2.5l have.
