Thanks folks.

Finally at the last minute managed to make it to the track for a couple of passes where Mark (MarkSTI) was kind enough to run the car for me (on a minutes notice!).

I attached a brief video, shame the 2nd run blew the IC hose off and jammed the steering column (sorry Mark!) or it might have ran a little more.

I would imagine the following is a rough idea,

Motor (built 2.2 with head work and Jun cams) $8500
Turbo setup $2500
Engine Management and fuel system $3500
6sp Tranny and R180 rear conversion with brakes $5500
Additional items like FMIC and so on $1500
Suspension and brakes $4000
Gauges and Data Aquisition $1500

That is rough estimates.

Great vid.

Mark showed the mustang what was up.

Mike,

Your car is crazy. When it comes out to play it doesn't mess around.

i dont want this to be taken the wrong way, cuz that is a very impressive WRX, and I havent really seen any ever run like that but...

with ur "rough esitmate" that added up to be about $27K which is pretty much the same as the cost of a new WRX.

how much more cost effective would it have been to just go with an STi? How much would u/he have saved by just going with an STi to begin with?

p.s. I love the car, good job with it, very impressive.
