Well time to go the the stealership and get my 4 rocker cover bolts, 1 cam pulley bolt, and the rocker cover gasket. I had to get raped and pay the $20 overnight or I would have to wait until next Friday to get my parts in. Hopefully this thing will be running way before that. Stay tuned!

Here is what I got done today.

Hopefully the weather holds and it is sunny tomorrow and I can get a bunch more done. Hopefully it's ready to drop in the car by Saturday.

Put on the turbo, turbo inlet, Coilpacks, Exhaust Manifold, all 4 cam pulleys, misc pulleys, back of plastic belt cover, and some misc stuff. Pretty productive day. I am still taking my time though and being super careful and following the manual to a T.

Looking good!! I will hit you up when I get back into town.
FYI, hardware stores usually carry a wide range of bolts. Might check them out next time you need a quick fix.
Last time I payed the cost for overnight freight (OEM front camber bolts) at the dealership it was a day late, and I was up into the night installing crap because I had an early morning alignment. Funny part was, I actually had to carve the old bolt off with an angle grinder since the nut AND bolt were stripped.

I did break a water pump bolt yesterday, so I am going back to Pierson's to see if they can save me. Project is coming along slowly but surely. I NEED SOME HELP
LoL. Matt never called me back about this weekend on the lift, so I guess that means no. Oh well.

Another day. Seems like I keep taking 2 steps forward and one step back each day but it is moving along. Hopefully I can drop it in tomorrow or the next day. Getting close.
My neighbor posing for the camera AGAIN

So got the Intake Manifold installed. Had to really clean up all the connection points on the block and on the bottom of the IM as there was a little surface rust, gasket material, and some other crap.
Used 400 grit, then 600 grit, 1000, then 1500. Used new gaskets of course. I have done this to EVERY exhaust and metal to metal pieces that require a gasket. All new gaskets and in most cases new bolts. Made sure all the mating surfaces were as perfect as I could get them. Installed my 800cc injectors. Hooked up a bunch hoses and electrical connections.
Installed the belt tensioner and had to re-install the turbo inlet once the IM was one. Man that is a pain. Weather was crappy windy and cold today but I got out the thermals and the beanie and put in some work. I am so ready for this project to be over I can taste it!

Try Ace Hardware for bolts and stuff. I know the one in Fortuna has every bolt I have ever searched for...maybe the one in Henderson Center would too.
Matt sent me a text around an hour ago and wanted me to tell you to call him tomorrow. I'll text you his cell number in a minute in case you cannot reach him at the shop.

WOW! So much craziness, im glad you finally have your motor back in its home base lol. Alot of time & effort, good luck on your future tuning, should be one powerful outcome.
