Not sure I understand you.
Are you asking why I just dont suspend them in order to get the book straight?
If so, the boots were straight before installing them into the tranny and the hubs... they did this as soon as I tightened everything up so I am not sure what un-installing them will do.
Just found out that my starter bolts didnt come in today so I wont be starting it until tomorrow at the soonest.
I was able to get the AC braket/pump installed as well as the power steering pump.
Just need to connect all hoses and connectors then fill with fluids!

Last night I:
- Finished installing AC and power steering pumps.
- Installed alternator
- Connected all hoses and connectors
- Secured nuts on bottom of motor mounts
- Installed intake
- Installed Pitch Stop
- Installed both accessory belts
- Installed Radiator
- Filled transmission
- Filled Radiator
- Stuck the battery charger on my battery.
Just need to pick up the starter bolts and rear diff bolts to get the starter in!!!

Motor is up and running!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The oil on the ground in the video is my power steering fluid because I am missing the O-ring on the end of the steering rack hard lines.
No engine oil leaks at all.
Only CEL that I am currently throwing is a P1507... the O2 sensor code that was thrown originally was just a loose connection.
So as of right now... the only 4 things that need to be fixed are:
- O-Ring on the power steering line
- new spring bolts for exhaust
- Adjust idle
- Perma-coil the front tranny cross member bolt hole/captive nut
After running the motor for 10 minutes and driving for another 10 minutes (with no power steering) the motor sounds MUCH MUCH better. No knocking, tapping or anything else.
Picking up the O-ring, exhaust spring bolts and new tranny cross member bolt today from Maita!

Wahoo!
So with the help of Chris GTO's watchful eyes I was able to track down my oil leak to a passenger side block half bolt that is just behind the head, just under the PCV hose nipple to the block and just in front of the bell-housing.
As soon as I got a socket on it and tightened it up, NO MORE LEAKS!!! I have now driven about 200 miles since tightening that bolt and there isn't a single drop of oil anywhere. None on the ground and none on the bottom of the motor, sub-frame, jacking plate ect.
Also, for ****s and giggles I took another look at the wiring for the ABS and noticed that all of the ABS and Cruise functions are routed through 1 of the 2 connectors on the TCU. The other connector controls the shifting points/solenoids on the 4EAT so I left that one unplugged.
As soon as I plugged in the white connector my ABS light went off. I NOW HAVE FULL ABS FUNCTIONALITY TOO!
I was also able to adjust the throttle position sensor once I figured out how to work my multimeter and perma-coil the front bolt hole for the tranny cross-member.
The car now feels 100x better in nearly all RPM ranges. It is exactly what I was hoping for!!!
Here is a short clip of a 1st through 3rd pull without going above 4,000 RPM (still breaking in).
Before anyone says anything, yes there is an exhaust leak because I pulled the threads out of my drivers side head with one of the exhaust studs so that side is only being held tight by one stud (Single port headers only have 2 studs/nuts per side). I should have that perma-coiled in a few days.
Only things left to do are:
- Perma-coil exhaust stud
- VSS Pro to get my Speedo working. Only CEL's that the car throws are P0500 and P1540 which are both related to no Vehicle Speed Sensor. I can drive about 5 miles after resetting before they come back on so I dont think I can get the car smogged if I have reset the CEL within the last 5 miles and I certainly cant pass with the CEL illuminated.
- New heated windshield
