Russia has money, they are actually pretty powerful right now. Unfortunately, they still don't give a crap about their people though.
I don't like what's going on with them nowadays, it's not heading in the right direction IMO. Our family bailed in '89, thank god.

I would personally be more worried about China and their billion man standing army.
Plus we have been pumping billions and billions into their economy for cheap goods made by child labor for years and they are eating it up.
And I could be wrong, but didn't we borrow a few billion from them to help our fledging economy?
Yeah...and with N. Korea and them stauch allies I would be hard pressed to worry about some crack pot in Latin America calling in the Mother Land's war ships to cruise around our in our pool.
But to quote from the article: "Without protection from the air, it makes a sitting duck," Golts said. "It's ridiculous to even talk about the Russian ships providing a counterweight to the U.S. Navy."

Their Army would (will?) whoop our ***... Plain and simply. They have so many soldiers it's rather inconceivable.
I'm not worried about Russia so much, their numbers are small, and their economy is not strong anyways. They are facing some seriously financial issues right now anyways. This is just a big showing.
