Good to see you guys today. Sorry we didn't have time to do the full ride you guys had planned.
Lance, not sure if you're reading this forum while you are out, but if so let us know how everything went with your surgery.

I don't think Kevin and Lance (not Lance B - the other one) are allowed to ride with us anymore. Joe is in the ER again :\ stitches is all hopefully.
Nelson, thanks again for riding D-Ville!!!! Had a blast
WTF happened? Where did he go down? Was he able to finish the ride? He seemed like he was fighting to feel well after the drinking binge you guys had last night.
On another subject, how did the wheels treat you? What is your impression on running tubeless? And that priceless CK whir.....

Wheel impressions from today - The CK whirr is loud. It's kind of distracting in a way - I need to get used to it. The wheels spin up SUPER fast. I found myself going much faster in much less time than I'm used to and that almost got me in to trouble once or twice today. Today I felt like I had much better feel of the trail - the handling was dead on and I felt like I had way more grip than usual. I like the wheels a lot. I'm looking forward to riding more on them, maybe when Joe and I don't binge drink the night prior

I came around a turn and Joe was laying in the middle of the trail gripping his leg with lots of blood all over his knee and leg. At first I was afraid that he had broken his leg. Thankfully that turned out not to be true. His knee did have a long and deep cut that I'm sure will need stitches. I hope Matt can give an update soon. I hope Joe's knee itself is ok. His arm looked fairly bloody too, but even though I didn't get a close look, I don't think it was to bad.
This happened on the Connector on the way back in one of those fast sweeping turns. At least he was well past the big Connector downhill/uphill and didn't have to suffer as through that.

I was wondering if it also had something to do with stiffness of the wheel. I know when I went from the stock wheels on my Tarmac to the Eastons I have now, I noticed immediate handling improvements and much better road feel. Probably a combo of the wheel and tubeless on the mtb. I really dug it.
Thanks for making me such a great deal on those wheels.

He's supposed to get the stitches out Friday, but he said he isn't planning to ride next weekend. He'll see how he feels as the week goes on but he wants to let his knee heal. He also needs to get new shoes before he can ride again
