I think I will be ok for a Saturday ride.
I got a new spoke today and installed myself before I went for a ride. I did the Loop and FHLT after fixing the bike. Perfect weather.
I guess it was time for my get off today. I was hammering as hard as I could with only one mile to go on the Connector when a hidden root jumped up and grabbed my pedal. I high sided in a heartbeat. Fortunately I fell down hill and the grade pretty closely matched my fall rate. I landed in soft leaves and the fall itself didn't hurt. I did bash my shin and knee on the bars as I made my trip over them. No major damage and I'll be ready again in a day or two.

Ok, we will do 8am.
I had strange thing happen. I went to Olmstead today to ride. When I got there I pushed the "on" button on my Garmin. Nothing happened. Needless to say I was bummed.
I called Garmin when I got home and they said hold in the "reset" and "mode" buttons at the same time for 5 seconds. Still nothing. He said plug it into the charger and do the same thing. It worked, it worked! That was a big relief.

Dudes, I have a doctor's appt. I have to get back to Sac for, so I can't be out all day in Auburn. Plus I got sick after our freezing adventure in D-Ville, so I don't think I could finish the ride you guys are planning (I know, "Oooohhh, someone's sick and isn't riding good...nice excuse...").
I'm planning on starting at the confluence at 7:30. I should be at the connector trailhead by 8 and can ride either all or part of the connector with you guys, then off to the culvert/confluence trail by myself.
Kevin is riding too. He is deciding whether or not to start at the confluence with me or just meet at the connector. He wants to ride the connector and one lap of FHDL with you guys.
See you tomorrow. I'll post here if the plans change.
