Probably not a good spot for group driving, period.

My cousin lives off Salmon Falls and yes, it is a fun road to drive... but its dangerous. TONS of deer, people cycling up and down all the time, and its a very widely known road for motorcycles as well. Not to mention all the people that live off the road and are constantly driving up/down it.

Just a couple years ago there was a totaled wrx off that road that killed 2 or 3 of the occupants due to stupid driving.

Hwy 50 is pretty popular right now! Hopefully we can get this going before this month ends or a little after. Only 1-2 more weeks until me and other college students are done!
I vote for a Friday drive once location is decided.
Highway 50 to Tahoe could be great because its open for the most part and also provides a short amount of the one lane twists that seem to be desired. Not many cyclists on freeways, but deer will always be a risk.

I like the idea of Hwy 50 -> Tahoe

Does anyone have any objections? Or different ideas?

Hey guys saw this thread and wanted to share what my crew is doing on May 18th with an evo crew from Sac. I'm from Chico (originally from Sac) and a few of us used to do the Lake Berryessa run way back when it was huge (last time I went it was about 80 subies)

We are trying to revive this annual drive and make it a joint Evo/Subie thing. Also someone from the Chico crew has a hookup for a nice place to hangout afterwards for BBQ and Pool party. Would love to have you guys come out!

Don't want to go too fast? No problem, we will have at least two groups - 3 or more if theres enough people. A fast group, medium/slow group too so people can just enjoy the drive.

We meet in Vacaville at 10am and you can see the facebook event here:

https://www.facebook.com/events/521266547909049

Hope to see you guys out there! If not, Hwy 50/Ice house is a great drive too.

Okay so it's final the cruise will be Hwy 50 -> Tahoe.

Now I need to figure out a date and a prime meet up spot for everyone. Dates will most likely be around the end of the month or early June. Anyone got suggestion on dates that are occur after May 24th? I'm down for Friday(s)/Sunday(s) maybe even Saturdays depending on my schedule.

Yeah i'm just pushing it to the end of May - early June because I just want to give people time to know what to expect, and be ready with their cars in time. Now i'm just trying to figure out a place to meet for everyone. I'm looking at a somewhere right in between so it's even distance wise for the Elk Grove people and the Citrus Heights and Roseville people.
