well i know some of you may already know but it is a sad day.... i sold the STi on Friday because of the business i started. I bought a brand new Dodge turbo diesel (had to still have a turbo'd vehicle). I still have the brighton but may sell this as well. It's been a ton of fun meeting and talking with all of you guys and i made a promise to myself that i will be in a STi again one day, just now's not the right time. Anyway, here's the new toy. =)

on a side note i do have a few leftover parts and will post in the fs section if anyone is interested.

****... why do I have to have such expensive taste. I just got the estimate on my damn door hardware for my office... Well... lets just say it had 4 numbers in it before the decimal.
Frigging door hardware man... That's not including the labor to install it and the door itself... and the paint.
SOB... I changed the hardware from one to another. Saved about $800 so far. I'll source the handles somewhere else. That should save me about $200.
I also got word back that my sink was about as expensive as it gets and the style of cut I chose for the counter is the second most expensive option. Yeah! See if I can't choose a cheaper sink.

Yeah. So far my list of stuff I've done myself and with the help of friends...
Removed the tack strip from the whole house.
Removed all the nails and staples from the whole house. THOUSANDS
Removed 2 walls
Removed 2 HUGE hutches. One that was build in.
Removed all the cabinets and lighting in the kitchen
Removed the appliances from the kitchen
Removed the kitchen sink.
Removed the floors in the kitchen including the base.
Removed all baseboard in the living areas of the house
Removed lighting in the office
Removed some doors
Removed all the window coverings in entire house
Removed the floor from the family room and office including the base wood
Removed the coving in the bathrooms so the walls can be painted and the cabinets as well
Raked the yard of leaves
Swept the yard of leaves
Cut back some hedges
Inspected the septic and under house drainage (heavy rains a few weeks ago)
Cut a huge inspection hole in the floor and dug around the shed.
Removed a couple 60's slider doors
Started cleaning the bricks on the fire place last night. 2 hours in on that and I'm just starting to get them clean
Picked all the paint colors with the wife
Cabinet choices. Door choices. Hardware choices. Lighting fixtures. Designed the island.
Ripped out the entryway linoleum around front and back doors
**** ton more to do. My mom and dad have been huge helps as have my wife and my friends. My brother has been at the house I think 4 or 5 times now to help me. Justin drove way the hell out there a couple times. My buddy nick and my other brother came out to help bust down the wall. Mom's has been handling a lot of the planning and dealing with contractors and stuff so i don't miss work. And keeping and eye on them.
Pretty much gutted the place.
Drywall is going back up so it's starting to look like a house again. All the cans are in. One door is filled in so it's a full wall now. Doors are at the house.
