Do any of you guys know where to get a custom made washer? I need 2 hardened washers with a dimension of 22mm OD x 15.2mm ID x 4mm thick.

 

Actually you know what Kyle, I think the top hat isn't installed correctly. Look at this pic and see how far the strut sticks out the top. I think it needs to be tightened down more. I think I need to just pull it down further and maybe it'll stop clunking.

Just talked to paul and he says my motor sounds fine and he didn't see any metal in my oil...haha I swear I'm not crazy this motor sounds twice as loud as my first motor from there

 

What oil do you use? Rotella T6?

Yeah...the first oil change I did where I saw gold flakes it was with the break in generic oil...did rotella following that and it was a bit less gold but still metallic...and its got t6 in there now

Once you get the washers and other parts we can tear it down and put it together with the 02/03 top hats.

I recommend stainless since we live on the coast

 

They said hardened steel is just regular steel that is heat treated to make it stronger.

 

On your next oil change try out some German Castrol. You can only find it at Autozone and some places don't carry it. I got some pretty good results with that oil. I sent out some Amsoil Euro 5w-40 and I'm just waiting for the report back now.
