anyone have a code reader local to salinas/watson?

My check engine light is still on and when I started my car this morning it made a TERRIBLE grinding noise. Like the starter was sticking or something.

 

It sucks that auto parts stores don't read codes or rent code readers anymore. Coworker of mine has one but I'm in sac for a week at a training.

 

Yeah. Them renting them out was really screwing mechanics because mechanics charge like $90 to read them. Funny when you can get a decent reader for less than that.

 

yeah we charge like $60 but if you get the work done here it gets taken off the labor cost

 

Yeah... I'd run it by my buddies shop but I think even he'd have to charge me like $50/60. Sucks.

I know Justin has one and so does Jeff. I'm hoping to see them both next sunday so if I can't get it before then, I'll get it on sunday.

But I need to fix that wire asap. I need to get under the front of the car anyways...

 

Ray I got a free CEL code read at a shop here in Santa Cruz right before the ford dealership.. AAMCO or something like that..

Cool. I was thinking about dropping by the Santa Cruz Dealership but I think they might be chapped that we bought our forester at Capitol instead of SC. But hey... we needed a car THAT DAY and all they had was blue, green and orange. Yuk!

 

Orange? I don't think I've seen an orange fozzy before... Sounds disgusting haha

 

Think maybe they were red but either way... no red.

We were looking at white, black, gray, silver. And we quickly where down to silver and black when because they were the only ones with black interior. The tan and light gray interior looks ghetto!

 

I've seen those orange/red red/orange color..and both my homies with foresters have that ugly tan interior

 

Hey guys my friends red 1990 honda crx was stolen sunday. If you can keep your eyes out for it id appreciate it
