Pfft dude you'll never be satisfied. I'm definitely getting there with exterior mods for now.

I mean Matt is running <$1000 coilovers and his car handles damn good. Better than Justin Well maybe things have changed now that he got new tires

Ya I was going to mention me and Drake are running ISCs. I paid under $900. It's all about the driver.

Ride height and tire/rim size effect how rough the ride is with coils. If your not dumped and have a decent side wall than cheaper coils should be fine. Best part about coils is everything is adjustable so you can roll around town slammed and then raise it a hair if your going on a long drive. Just have to measure or mark everything because what ever your everyday height is, is the height you need to get an alignment with.

Looking to into gettin either ISC or there's a new company called suspension techniques (ST) that is owned by KW...they make the same exact coilover as the kwv1 except the shock body is different material so its not lifetime rust free but you still get 5year warranty...you need to buy tophats too, I got a quote for $1500 shipped for coilover+top hats from a vendor on nasioc

And thanks for the pm jody, saw it in my email but didn't open it on hewre yet...

Ill probably get new coils and sell the bc for cheap to someone who wants to rebuild

Suspension tech isn't a new company. They have been putting out solid stuff for Honda's for years. I think they started up in the 70's. I think KW bought them in 05'

This is a new coil over for ST but it should be solid. They've always made good stuff. I ran some of their stuff on my honda back in the day. They'll support what they make.

They're based out of Fresno and KW is german... On the surface I'd trust that over BC... or BOR-CHUANN ENTERPRISE CO.,LTD out of TAIWAN.

If all you care about is having a slammed car then buy cheap coil overs.

If you actually care about longevity, build quality, performance, etc... don't buy cheap ones. I will never support the cheap taiwan/chinese knock off coil overs. Ever.

If you have ever driven a car with cheap coil overs and then driven that same car with properly set up quality coil overs... you'd never go back. I had the second set of Zeal Coilovers on the continental U.S. back in the day. WAAAAAAAAAAY better that GC sleeves or any other B.S. coil over I drove on.

I'd rather see the money spent on a killer set of camber plates, and a properly matched strut/spring combo.

Not that many people are gonna crawl around under their car and raise and lower their car every time they want to go on a drive or go to the snow. And if they do even less people are gonna pony up $100 for an alignment every time. That's why you see so many dumb asses slammed to the ground with retarded camber settings. They're ****ing cheap and they buy cheap coil overs and they don't pay for proper alignments.

All those rants about stupid camber settings of mine... this is why. People that don't know any better regurgitating **** they heard from someone else that doesn't know any better flowing all over the internet for people that don't know any better to read and jump on.

But if you cheap coil overs meet your need to be slammed and flush and handle decent (for now) then more power to you.

In 15,000 miles when those POS are riding like *** and need a rebuild or to be tossed the garbage and the ones that cost $500 more are doing just fine for another 35,000... well... what makes more sense?

The BC Racing BR coilovers are Taiwanese made "cheap" coilovers that have tons of options like adjustable dampening and all that jazz for only $1000. Of course people are going to bash them because they're "cheap" but then they talk **** about how you spent over $2000 on a set of coilovers that won't see any track time.

I've heard BC Racing actually has fairly good customer service and will repair any defect or problem that you have with your coilovers for free, granted you're going to have to have some down time on shipping it and getting it back though.

BC is owned, operated and manufactured in Taiwan. They make a good coil over for the money. They have satellite companies in UK, US, an I think AU. So when you deal with them you deal with the local version of said company. Generally speaking from what I hear they do pretty good with taking care of you when stuff breaks. But wear and tear they don't. That's what you loose in a low level coil over. Build quality just isn't there.

Like I said before... if all you want is a car that can be slammed and handles good on the street and more than likely you'll set and forget... buy cheap.

If you're actually going to corner weight, dial in, have street, track, snow settings done... etc... and care about a part that will last for much longer then don't buy cheap.

Figure this... you spend $1200 now. They need a rebuild in 15k. You can either drive on bouncy POS or have them rebuilt. Now they're closing in on $5k and you have to figure out what to run while they're being rebuilt... and some of you will have to pay to have them taken off and put on. So... now that $1200 coil over is running you $2400 in the span of say 18 months.

Or you buy a 2400 coil over that needs a rebuild at say 55k....

well... which one actually cost you more?

Not to mention... if you actually use your crappy coil over it will not hold up to the abuse as well.

Just food for thought.

I'm not knocking anyone that buys the cheap ****... I'm only saying... THERE IS A DIFFERENCE.

My civic handled WAY better on my koni/neuspeed strut set up than it did on cheap coil overs and I didn't **** blood like I did on the zeals. Those things were way too stiff. LOL>

Haha I've got like 50k on my bc br coilovers and they are doin almost the same as when I got them with like 5k on them (best $700 I spent on suspension hah)

They are just a bit harsher over BIG bumps than they used to be, but daily driving and on highway 17 they still do great

I've got them in the middle of the 32way setting for soft/hard and people who ride in my car don't even say anything about bad ride quality

And I've got back problems, but the coilovers don't bother me, just ****ty car seats haha

So not all BC coilovers only last 15k haha, only problem I had was the topnut got loose one time on the front strut but I think it was because I was messing with the settings...that happened when I first got them and haven't had anything go wrong since
