What are you gonna do when your motor goes out Ray? Anything lined up already or will it be out for a while?
Drake: why don't you just sell the whole car as it is? Get some newer Suby and call it at day... Safer, more room, but still able to mod... I'm sure that the way it sirs now with the brembos, big wheels, you harness set up.. You can get some cash ...

as for my motor. I don't have anything going yet but I'm flip flopping on plans.
1. Rebuild the 2.0. Just build it strong and open up the heads some. Put a 16g on it and call it a day.
2. a 255 long block with an 18g or a larger vf.
3. Buy a wrecked STI or newer WRX and swap over what I need.
I've been talking to Paul and Mike about building and tuning for a long time. I don't plan on getting carried away but I'd like to overbuild. Build for 350+hp and run 275-300.
I've got a loaner car for the time being and I plan to fix the wife's VW and sell it. If it hold out until summer I should be able to drive my caddy around while it's down so I can take my time. I'll have to do as much labor as possible myself to save some money.

Not a bad idea. I can let you check out the wife's forester if you want. It's perfect for our one daughter and dog. Can fit a trip for a week inside. We got the base model and it's plenty nice. Had enough pep. Not gonna be fun compared to your bug eye but for about $400 you can lower it and have a new rear sway bar on it and I hear it's a fun drive. I plan to do it probably next summer and toss some 18's on it.
