I've updated the calendar with a couple of events this Sunday. Please check it out. I'm pretty sure I will be there.

Just when I thought all was well with my wagon, some ******* in a Volvo XC decides to make a left in front of me. I managed to dodge the SUV, but not the curb across the street.

That's the front right rim. The back rim took a punch too, but I don't have a photo of it yet. Needless to say, the alignment is fücked, the rims are fücked, the tires were almost bald, but now one is simply unsafe to drive on.

With that said, does anyone have a set of 08+ STi 18-inch 5 spokes they need to get rid of?

Thanks man. The whole incident was captured on my dash cam, but after talking with my friends in law enforcement, they all advised that it would be a waste of time to seek legal action regardless of having actual footage of the near-collision.

Frankly, sh¡t happens and i'm just glad things didn't turn out worse. Such is life when it comes to living and commuting in SF. There will always be idiots on the road, and i'm treating this incident as a message telling me to be more cautious on the streets in 2014. Soccer moms will be soccer moms, Zipcar drivers will be Zipcar drivers, and Washingtonians will continue driving obliviously to their surroundings.

Be safe everyone.

Hey,
I have an spare set of PF45's 18"x8.5" I think...they be 18"x9". Either way they fit on my 2006 STI with out modding anything. I run them with 245/40/18 tires and I'm about 99% sure they will fit on your car without challenges. The have some curb rash and I primarily used them as winter wheels. You are more than welcome to borrow them until you figure out what you're gonna do about replacing your damaged wheels. They are hyperblack and they looked pretty cool on my black car.

Here is a link to the style:
Rota PF45 Wheels

Keep in mind the aforementioned link does not indicate the color the color looks more like this but darker:
18x10 Rota RT5 - Hyper Black (5x114.3/e30/73)

If you need borrow them for a while in order to get you mobile let me know when you can make it to San Rafael and we can meet up. My name is Rich and feel free to drop me a line at 415.322.8430. Sorry that happened to you bradda. Your wheel may be able to be repaired but the typical wheel repair guy usually want $150-200/wheel. In my opinion you might be better off getting a whole new set. You can get a sweet set of Rotas for a little less than a G...depending on the style/size...etc. etc. At any rate, if you need something to get you on the road...my wheels are waiting. -Rich

Wow. It's pretty quiet around here with José out of the country.

What the hell is everyone doing (besides watching football)?

Don't get me started about football (or American handball should it be called since handball actually exists)... Gimme a valid reason to watch 22 guys playing for ten seconds and stop all the time... Besides you are compelled to watch them for more than 3 hours although the effective game is one hour long. They take more time out than my middle schoolers!!!

I forgive thee for thy blasphemous words. For you are French and don't know better about American sports.

We're still friends, right?
