BTW, I finally got the wife's approval to tear down the STi and go built block! So I will setup a date and time to have a de-install party at my place. We will methodically take apart the engine to the block using marking tape and pictures. I've purchased another set of shelves we will use for the parts that come off the car.

Keep an eye out for another post from me with the date/time!!
Awesome! Super pumped for this.

Yeah its quick. Needs rotors/pads really bad, looking at the stoptech brake kit.

Do it. I have stop tech pads, slotted rotors and stainless lines.

they dust a little more than Id like, and on first braking when cold theres a slight bit of fade but once they warm just a little they will literally pull your face off, or bash your nose into the steering wheel if you arent careful.

Nice dude! Lemme know if you need an extra set of hands with installs at any point, I can always swing down after work since I'm right around the corner.

Awesome! I think you will be happy.

Just make sure you bed them in properly. Once they are bedded in, and warmed up they are serious braking power.

+1 to this, it's important, and +1 to finding a good spot to do this

IIRC proper order of operations is:

Get up to 60 - 80 mph
Brake hard and smooth down to 10 - 20 mph
Repeat this 8-10 times in quick succession (gotta find a relatively straight unoccupied road for this)
Then drive around normally with minimum to no braking at 40+ mph for a few minutes to cool it all down.

That's from memory but I'm pretty sure I remembered correctly.

Cool, thanks for the tips. I just need a place to do it now haha. Either way I'm going to have to wait until I have a suspension in mind to swap in, since you have to thread the new brake lines through anyway. Looking for a strut spring combo that comfy enough
