This also sounds good to me, turns out that this weekend might work out great for us to make the drive.

Looking at the weather report, we're supposed to be getting some good rain... I'm assuming this does not change anyone's mind about the meet?

Anyone ever done them on a Suby? Ive done them on motorcycles but those are much easier from what Ive heard.
Yikes, poor timing. Ive never done them myself, but it cost a pretty penny to have it done at a shop (ended up needing new hubs ). Best of luck!

In the spirit of Bart Scott and the one football fan who may appreciate this. CAN'T WAIT ...for sunday

Shouldn't be too hard. I did the drivers front bearing on a Lexus not too long ago. The part that took the longest was having the bearing itself pulled out and pressed into the hub. Other than that, it was the typical remove this nut and that bolt.

We have to remove the entire hub to be able to press the old out, and the new in.

thankfully the hobby shop has a 20 ton press but still… not gonna be done before the weekend.

Did this to my 09 WRX for the front.
My advice is do it yourself, once the hub is out though good luck pressing the old bearing out, I had to take mine to a shop and told the guy "I'll give you $20 if you can get this out without damaging the hub"

So folks, the drive is two days away and we have yet to choose a meet location or nail down a route. Since people seem to like the idea of going up to the calistoga/Napa area it would make sense to meet up in Santa rosa and go from there.

I agree with this.. doesn't make scene to go all the way to Novato, just to come right back. Since it sounds like there are some folks coming from 101 S, perhaps we should meet at the Wells Fargo Center for the Arts? Its right of the highway and there is a route to Calistoga via Mark West Springs Rd.. thoughts?

Who all is confirmed?

Count me in, can we just nail down a time? Since people can't decide 10 or 11 maybe we should say 10:30. Some one make the call.
