haha well I just got my leave approved so I will be off for a few weeks at the end of this month through the middle of Sept.

I will be in Tahoe for a lot of it, but I do need to come to the Bay on the 5th for a few reasons.

Thats a thursday night. We could set something up for the night before or that night if people can. Or we can do it on a weekend during the morning or late afternoon (better "soft" lighting)

I will also be in the bay the evening of Aug 28th (wednesday) and plan on going to the Fremont Vah-Jay-Jay meet.

Depending on what time my flight gets in, we can do something that day.

Awesome. That's all I need to say. The caravan failed, but it had no effect on how the day turned out. The best part, you ask? The drive! Not only that, but AppleBee's afterward. These are the events we need to have. I had a lot of fun yesterday and totally down to do something like that again.

Subie Invasion in November! Keep your calendar open people!!!

BTW, my car is fair game for all that want to drive it!
I want to drive it

Consider this:

Your car, though similar to Ben's, is quick yet refined with the mods you've done. Getting the car into first gear from a stop is fairly easy, and the overall driving experience is reserved. Then, when chaos is needed, your car seamlessly transitions from a reserved daily driver to a fuel hungry, torque vectoring monster.

Ben's car however, is indeed much quicker than yours, but as a result lacks the simple amenities we take for granted with our mostly stock setups. Ben has to monitor certain drivetrain temperatures and other various meters through a Cobb AP before he decides to do anything wild or he might prematurely wear down his investment. Getting the car into first gear from a stop requires the skills akin to Lewis Hamilton, because his clutch, like F1 cars, is either engaged or disengaged. Then, when chaos is needed, Ben doesn't have to do sh¡t, because his car is a menace to society even when he attempts a reserved driving style.

Just my two cents... :-)

BTW, Ben I'm fairly sure you weren't at Outside Lands this weekend, but I totally saw your twin when I was at the Polo Fields stage.

I can't wait to hear that bad boy when it's done! ! BTW, I got a package here for you. If came a couple of days ago. Also, let me know when you get your AP unmarried so I can fix your check engine light.

Will do Bud!

And ya, that package shouldve come from thechive. Its my patches and luggage tags I think.

I got a PM from the kid on NASIOC yesterday saying his exhaust was installed on monday and the G200 was boxed up and ready to ship yesterday. I did him a favor by giving him the $$$ so he can buy his new exhaust and get it installed before sending out the G200 so he wouldnt have to run around town with open exhaust lol.

I figured, either I get the exhaust and everyones happy, or I dont get the exhaust and I file a claim via paypal and get my money back. But the kid seems legit so Im not that worried.

I need to pick up an invidia catless DP now. Get rid of the no-name one that the previos owner installed.
